Bath: Easter Holidays

Fun Science is back in the Easter holidays with fun experiments to watch and do, things to make and items to explode! Each day is run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS checks and first aid training and is jam-packed with experiments, games, crafts and explosions.Free science resources for primary teachers

The club will run on 27th, 28th and 29th March from 10am-3pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Mount View, Bath, BA2 1JX with optional ‘stay and play’ from 9am-10am and 3pm-5pm. The days are perfect for children aged 4-10.

27th March – Dinosaur Dig – Become a palaeontologist as we rescue dinosaurs from fizzing eggs and then identify them. We will also be using specialist tools to excavate real shark teeth from rocks which the children will get to take home with them. Other activities will include making fossils, learning how dinosaurs lived and testing theories about why the dinosaurs died out.

28th March – Baffling Bodies – This day is full of gross science! We will be mixing up bogies, seeing how poo is made, exploring what is in blood and making our own edible model of blood. Then we will be becoming medical researchers and analysing ‘urine’ samples to find out what is wrong with our patients. There will even be a few optional dissections with an alternative activity available for any squeamish little ones.

29th March – Easter Eggs-travaganza-  This day is jam-packed with egg based fun! From bouncy eggs to erupting eggs and colour changing eggs. There will even be an Easter egg hunt with science based clues to help us find them! Plus, we will be putting an egg in a bottle and then launching it into the sky. It’s sure to be an egg-cellent day!

All children will need a packed lunch and mid morning snack. Things can get messy at Fun Science so we recommend old clothing.
