Bath: October Half Term

Fun Science is back this October half term with fun experiments to watch and do, things to make and items to explode! Each day is run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS checks and first aid training and is jam-packed with experiments, games, crafts and explosions.October holiday club Bath 2017

The club will run on 30th and 31st October and 1st November from 10am-3pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Mount View, Bath, BA2 1JX with optional ‘stay and play’ from 9am-10am and 3pm-4pm. The days are perfect for children aged 4-9.

30th October – Up, Up and Away!- This day is all about flight – we will be making and launching rockets, discovering how to make the perfect paper plane, launching a giant hot air balloon and learning all about Dr Bernouille and his principles of flight. We will also be investigating different gasses and why you should never fill your blimp with hydrogen (hint – there may be an explosion!).

*FULLY BOOKED* 31st October – Spooky ScienceCome and join us for the spookiest, slimiest day in town! We will be exploding pumpkins, creating oozing potions, making spider slime and generating lightning with our Van de Graaff generator. There will also be smoke rings and plenty of eruptions. Fancy dress optional (but encouraged!).

1st November – Interesting Inventions –Children will have access to motors, batteries, LEDs and all sorts of scrap materials to see what they can build. Will they make a robot with light up eyes? A fan? A helicopter? The only limit is their imagination. As well as free invention time, we will be assisting all children to make their own mini air cannon to take home.

All children will need a packed lunch and mid morning snack. Things can get messy at Fun Science so we recommend old clothing.
