explode! Each day is run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS checks and first aid training and is jam-packed with experiments, games, crafts and explosions. Our ratio of adults to children is 1:10.

The club will run on 7th, 8th and 9th August and will be repeated on 21st, 22nd and 23rd August from 10am-3pm at St Barnabas Church Hall, Mount View, Bath, BA2 1JX with optional ‘stay and play’ from 9am-10am and 3pm-5pm.

The days are perfect for children aged 4-10.

Tuesday 7th /21st August – Survival Science – FULLY BOOKED This day will involve learning how science can help us if we are lost in the wilderness. We will be using friction to make fire, cooking outside, building dens and learning about strong structures, filtering water and using a magnifying glass to concentrate light and start a fire.

Wednesday 8th/22nd August – Bubble-ologists – FULLY BOOKED You’ve heard of biologists but have you heard of bubble-ologists? We will be becoming bubble experts and making giant bubbles, colourful bubbles, square bubbles, bubble snakes and more! There will also be plenty of fizzing, bubbling potions in this day as well.

Thursday 9th/23rd August – Rainbow Science – This day is all about everything bright and colourful. We will be making rainbow glasses to take home, learning about diffraction, mixing up rainbow potions, using puffy colourful paint and having a very colourful time!

Stay and play

We run a stay and play service from 9am-10am and 3pm-5pm. During these supervised sessions children will have access to a range of toys including marble run, lego technic, colouring, meccano and outdoor toys. During the afternoon session we also repeat any activities that the children have enjoyed from the rest of the day or from previous days if they are regulars!
