York: May Half Term

York in May half termCome and join us in York in May half term for some hands on science fun! There will be experiments to watch and do, things to make and items to explode! Each day is run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS checks and first aid training and is jam-packed with experiments, games, crafts and explosions.

Days will run from 10am-3pm and are suitable for children ages 6-12.

Tuesday 29th May – Weather – Experience four seasons in one day as we create our own clouds, lightning and even snow! Join us as we learn about UV light, demonstrate how sun cream works and pollinate our own model plants.

Thursday 31st May – Space – Learn about gravity and the night sky as we make our own constellations, test out a pendulum, become astronauts in training (complete with space food) and launch rockets.

Where: Oaken Grove Community Centre, Reid Park, Oaken Grove, Haxby, York, YO32 3QW
