Home Science Kits
Our home science kits were created in response to the Covid-19 crisis when we were unable to run science sessions with children face to face. Due to the popularity of these we have kept making a few of the kits and still have a few in stock.
These kits can be delivered anywhere across Gloucestershire for £5 (including postage) and are suitable for children aged 5-11 but are recommended to be done with adult supervision for younger children.
See “Fun Science Home Kits (Cheltenham)” on Facebook, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Each week we will let you know what the activity will be and you just let us know if you would like to purchase that kit. You are also welcome to set up a standing order and receive kits every week but there is no obligation to do so.
CODING CLUB (Nationwide) – We have launched a coding club for beginner coders aged 7 – 14 with younger children needing a little bit of adult help to complete the tasks and older children able to complete the activities on their own. Activities will start simple and get progressively more complicated as children get to grips with coding and there will be extension activities available too. You will need access to a computer with a USB socket and an internet connection.
The code club costs £26 and once you join our code club, you will receive in the post the following:
- BBC Micro:bit – a very small, simple, codeable computer which can be used to make games, simple animations and much more. It includes an accelerometer, LEDs and, temperature and light sensors.
