22nd February – Eco warriors – Learn about the risks our planet faces from global warming and increased emissions and ways that children and adults can take action to reduce these risks. Pupils will be investigating wind and solar power, creating eco-bricks, seeing what will happen if the ice caps melt and more! Children will also be making wildflower seed bombs to take home.

23rd February – Thinking like a scientist – Scientists spend their lives asking questions and this is exactly what we will be doing. Children will be working on solo and group tasks to answer a range of questions such as ‘can we explode lemonade with anything other than mentos?’ ‘Which ingredients make the best toothpaste?’ and ‘which chemical can be used to blow up a balloon the fastest?’.

24th February – Lights, rainbow, action! – This day will be full of colours as we experiment with optical illusions, learn the science behind 3D films, mix some multicoloured potions and even try making our own rainbow glasses!
