Bristol: February Half Term
Fun Science is back in Bristol for 3 days in February half term. Send your little scientists to us for a club packed full of experimenting and of course, FUN! Each day is run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS checks and first aid training and is jam-packed with experiments, games, crafts and explosions.
The club will run on 17th, 18th and 19th February from 10am-3pm at Cotham Parish Church, Cotham Rd, Bristol BS6 6DR with optional ‘stay and play’ from 9am-10am. The days are perfect for children aged 4-10. The cost is £22 per child and £18 for siblings, with a block booking discount available when booking all 3 days.Click here to book
17th February – Super Senses – Are your children excited by stinky smells? Do they love to explore their senses? We will be testing all five senses with strange smells, illusions that trick the eye and even finding out which children are genetic supertasters. We will also be exploring Braille and creating our own Braille pictures so that we can read with our sense of touch!
18th February – Eco warriors – Learn about the risks our planet faces from global warming and increased emissions and ways that children and adults can take action to reduce these risks. Pupils will be investigating wind and solar power, creating eco-bricks, seeing what will happen if the ice caps melt and making an air powered mini hovercraft! Children will also be making wildflower seed bombs to take home.
19th February – Magnificent Magnets – We think magnets are just like magic and we love playing with them! Children will be experimenting with making electromagnets, using magnets to paint a picture and creating a magnetic game to take home. We will have a range of different magnets and magnetic toys to play with and even be having a giant magnetic treasure hunt!
All children will need a packed lunch and mid morning snack. Things can get messy at Fun Science so we recommend old clothing.Click here to book
