Formby: Summer Holidays
Fun Science West Lancs is in Formby in the Summer holidays with awesome experiments to watch and do, things to make and lots of fun to be had! Each day is run by highly trained Fun Scientists with enhanced DBS checks and first aid training and is jam-packed with experiments, games, crafts and explosions. The club will run on 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st and 22nd August from 10am-3pm at the Formby Maritime Cadets Base, Footpath by Redgate Primary, Redgate, Formby, L37 4EW.
The days are perfect for children aged 5-12.
Wednesday 14th August – Slime day – A whole day making different slimes! Including our favourite – fluffy slime!
Thursday 15th August – Flying high – All sorts of things can fly. What will we be looking at? You will be making your own mini helicopter, discovering why birds have different shaped beaks and watching rockets and bubbles fly high into the air!
Tuesday 20th August – Maritime science – In tribute to our new home, we shall be looking at what floats and what doesn’t, making (and racing!) our own boats and having a splashing good time!
Wednesday 21st August – Bodyshock! – Discover all about your body, particularly the grosser parts as we explore digestion, our senses and even make bogies! You’ll get the chance to meet our mascot, Wellington the Skeleton, use real stethescopes and discover some groovy optical illusions!
