Sheffield: Easter Holidays
Fun Science Sheffield is back with more science fun this Easter 2019! There will be plenty of experiments to watch and do, things to make, and items to erupt. Children will be supervised by highly qualified staff with enhanced DBS checks. The club is suitable for children ages 5-11.
The club will run on 4th, 5th, 9th and 10th April from 10am-3pm at CDYST, Coldwell Lane, Sheffield S10 5TL.
4th April – Wonderful World – Geology rocks! We will discover the layers of the Earth and how volcanoes work, as well as finding out about the three different kinds of rock. We’ll also explore our oceans and find out about the water cycle with a fun experiment to take home!
5th April – Baffling Bodies – In this disgusting session we will be finding out all about our bodies and how they work. We will be doctors diagnosing diseases, build a dog using DNA, and even learn what vomit is for!
9th April – Super Senses and Crazy Colours –Children will explore their own senses with taste, sound and smell tests and we’ll learn all about how we perceive and use colour. We’ll be making colourful and scientific things to take home and even learning to use indicator colour changes to identify acids and alkalis!
10th April – Amazing Electronics – Today we will learn about what electricity is and how to use it to power things. We’ll find out about protons and electrons before building circuits with lemons, our bodies, and special paint. Then it will be time to test what we’ve learnt by making robots to take home that can draw by themselves!
