iFLY STEM Workshops

Fun Science has partnered with iFLY to produce science workshops for schoolsFun Science is pleased to have partnered with iFLY indoor skydiving centres to develop a science workshop that has links to both skydiving and the national curriculum.

iFLY science workshops are available for both primary and secondary schools at centres in Manchester, Basingstoke and Milton Keynes.

 

Primary Course:

  • 2 introductory flights – equivalent to 3 real skydives from 12,000 feet
  • 1 hour interactive Wind Workshop suitable for KS1 and KS2
  • Direct Links to the primary National Curriculum, covering Materials, Experiments, Forces, Air Resistance, Gathering and Recording data.
  • Wind powered model making
  • Delivered by Qualified Science Professional
  • All equipment for workshop supplied, including one workbook per child.
  • Full flight instruction including class briefing
  • Flight equipment hire – flight suit, helmet and goggles
  • Personal flight certificate
  • 1 free flight for teacher
